Founded in 1950, Breiðablik is playing in the Úrvalsdeild karla, the top-tier men’s soccer league in Iceland. The team is based in Kópavogur and playing in the Kópavogsvöllur Stadium. After their second place in the 2018 league, they qualified for the first qualification rounds of the UEFA Europa League, to be played on July 11th and July 18th. FC Vaduz from Swiss is their opponent.

To prepare their home-ground for the upcoming UEFA Europa League and future league games, they have replaced their old pitch by AstroTurf Soccer turf, installed in May this year. They opted for the AstroTurf Soccer XI Arena Pro system, which is FIFA certified and now ready for use. Breiðablik will use the facility for their home games and as a training ground.

The total facility is great; we are very proud of the end result and wish Breiðablik all the best in the upcoming games.
